Chief Executive Officer of Medical City Alliance

Glenn Wallace assumed his leadership role as chief executive officer in January 2014, providing oversight for the construction of Medical City Alliance, which opened 13 months later in February 2015. He brings more than 30-years of experience in the healthcare field, and has served HCA Healthcare in positions at several Medical City Healthcare facilities in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

Prior to his role as CEO of Medical City Alliance, Wallace served as the chief operating officer at Medical City Plano. Prior to that, he served as the chief financial officer and chief operating officer at Medical City North Hills. He also served as the chief financial officer at Medical City Las Colinas and controller at Plaza Medical Center (now Medical City Fort Worth) and Medical Center Arlington (now Medical City Arlington).

Throughout his career with HCA Healthcare, Wallace has overseen significant growth initiative projects, including the opening of Medical City Alliance and Medical City Las Colinas. In addition, Wallace has overseen major expansion projects at both Medical City Plano and Medical City North Hills.

Wallace is a valued member of the local community, serving multiple terms as chairman of the board for the Metroplex Chamber of Commerce and serving on the board for Speedway Children’s Charities, among other community involvement initiatives.

Wallace earned his Bachelor's degree in business administration from Stephen F. Austin State University and his Master's degree in business administration from Texas Christian University.

Chief Nursing Officer

Angie Gutierrez, MHCL, BSN, NEA-BC, was name chief nursing officer of Medical City Alliance in March 2024. As CNO, Gutierrez is responsible for overseeing patient care and nursing operations for Medical City Alliance, as well as off-campus ERs in Saginaw and Haslet and Medical City Surgical Hospital – Alliance, located directly across the street from the main hospital.  

With over two decades of nursing and leadership experience, Gutierrez previously served as ADNO at Medical City Arlington, Medical City North Hills, and Medical City Denton. Before her roles in North Texas, she worked in a variety of nursing leadership roles at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas, which is also part of HCA Healthcare. 

She is a member of the American Organization for Nursing Leadership, the Texas Organization for Nursing Leadership and the American College of Healthcare Executives. She has served on several HCA Healthcare committees, including the North Texas Division Professional Practice Governance Board and she is a graduate of HCA Healthcare’s Executive Development and Advanced Leadership Development programs.

Gutierrez earned a Master of Healthcare Leadership from Friends University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Wichita State University, both universities in Kansas. In addition, Gutierrez earned her Advanced Nursing Executive Board certification as well.

Chief Financial Officer

Maria Garvin was named chief financial officer (CFO) of Medical City Alliance in September 2024.

In her role, Garvin oversees all financial departments, including accounting, case management, therapy services, patient access and more.

Before this role, Garvin served as chief financial officer at Medical City Las Colinas where she was responsible for leading financial resiliency initiatives and accounting processes, case management and capital funding to support OR and women’s services.

Garvin began her career at HCA Healthcare in 2002 at St. David’s Medical Center in Austin as a staff accountant and financial analyst and served in progressive leadership roles at St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center, Heart Hospital of Austin, St. David’s Georgetown Hospital and Las Palmas Del Sol Healthcare before being promoted to chief financial officer and ethics and compliance officer at HCA Healthcare’s UCF Lake Nona Hospital in Orlando, Florida.

Garvin holds a Master of Business Administration in Management from St. Edwards University.
