All NICUs are designated between Level I and Level III, with Level III NICUs providing the highest level of care.
No parent wants to consider the possibility of their child being admitted into the NICU. However, one of the best things you can do for yourself is plan ahead. We encourage mothers with high-risk pregnancies, and even mothers with completely healthy pregnancies, to give birth at a hospital with the necessary equipment and professionals in case of an emergency.

We believe in keeping families together, including moms and newborns. We encourage bonding between parents and their newborns through sound, such as reading aloud, breast feeding (if possible) and touch. Nearly all infants, except the most ill, benefit from these moments of bonding.

- Consult with physicians in various locations
- Conduct virtual examinations of patients
- Determine whether a transfer is necessary
- Discuss potential options directly with parents
NICU services can be expensive, especially when transport is needed from one hospital to another. TeleNICU helps reduce the cost of care for patients, especially for those living rural areas. Parents are also able to be near their infants without having to pay for lodging and transportation.
