Parking

Valet parking is available outside the Building B entrance.

For questions or issues regarding our parking system, please visit our parking help center.

Visiting hours

Visiting hours and policies are determined by each unit or department. Please refer to the colleagues assisting with your care or your family’s care for more information. Please respect quiet hours and patient privacy during your visit.

Please note that visiting rules are subject to change during flu season.

Accessibility services (ADA accommodations)

We strive to make our facility accessible to all visitors. Wheelchairs are available at the main entrance, and all public areas are designed for accessibility. If you need assistance, please speak with a staff member.

Cafeteria

Our hospital cafeteria is located in between Building A and the Medical City Children’s Hospital. Visitors can also enjoy several other dining options in the lobby of Building A, C and D.

Our cafeteria is open during the following hours:

Daily:

Breakfast: 7:00am - 10:00am

Lunch: 11:00am - 2:00pm

Interpreter services (if applicable)

Interpreter services are available for non-English-speaking patients and families. For assistance, please call (833) 250-5600 (Code 105526).

Security

Medical City Dallas and Medical City Children’s hospital have a dedicated 24-hour security team patrolling the campus. They respond promptly to any concerns, requests and lost and found inquiries. For security assistance, call (972) 566-4800 or dial "00" from any hospital phone.

Social services

Patients sometimes require special needs while in the hospital and when planning to return home. Our licensed social workers and case managers provide a variety of services to assist patients, their families and friends. Please tell your nurse if you would like to connect with a social worker.

Spiritual support and chapel (if applicable)

The hospital chapel is located in the atrium of Building A. The Chapel is open at all times to every denomination.

Chaplains are available to provide spiritual and emotional support to patients, families, and friends. To request chaplain services, call the Hospital Operator or tell your nurse you would like a chaplain visit.

Smoking policy

Smoking and tobacco use are not permitted anywhere on the hospital grounds, including outdoor areas and parking lots. Thank you for helping us maintain a healthy environment.

Valuables and personal belongings

We request that you leave all valuables at home. Medical City Dallas does not accept responsibility for lost or stolen valuables or personal items. If necessary, your nurse can arrange to store small items in the hospital safe.
