Frisco, TX — Medical City Frisco recently celebrated the opening of a new inpatient rehabilitation unit with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Designed to help patients regain independence, the 8-bed unit will enable a dedicated team of doctors, nurses and therapists to provide customized rehab services in a healing environment. Adult patients can benefit from physical, occupational and speech therapy to focus on orthopedic, neurological and other complex medical issues to restore independence and assist in a safe return home.
Additional unit features include:
- Leading edge equipment
- Fully equipped kitchen with full-size appliances and bathroom to practice functional life skills
- In-unit gym for physical and occupational therapy

The expansion is part of Medical City Healthcare’s major capital investment initiative of more than $1.7 billion spent or committed over five years, including building expansions, facility enhancements and leading-edge technology.
