Medical City Decatur, a campus of Medical City Denton, is a full-service, acute care hospital licensed for 150 beds. Opened as a 50-bed Decatur Community Hospital in 1974, the institution marked a significant step forward in meeting the evolving healthcare needs of the thriving community of Decatur, Texas. In April 2001, the facility rebranded as Wise Regional Health System and on December 1, 2023, became part of the Medical City Healthcare system, one of the region's largest healthcare providers.

When you come to us with a high-risk condition, we take extra steps to ensure a positive outcome and improved quality of life. We focus on patient and family education with coordination of follow-up care to reduce the risk of potentially avoidable readmissions.

As such, we take a multi-disciplinary approach to your care that starts with admission, monitors you through your hospital stay and continues 30 days after your discharge.
