Inpatient mental health care refers to behavioral health services that are provided when you are admitted to the hospital. With inpatient treatment, you have access to both mental health services and complete hospital care, if you need it.

Medical City Green Oaks provides inpatient care for adults 18 and older and adolescents ages 12 to 17.
We provide 24-hour hospitalization, including psychiatric evaluations, 24-hour nursing care, crisis intervention, and ongoing medical, behavioral and nutritional therapy.

Substance use treatment services for adults
Medical City Green Oaks offers substance use and mental health care for Axis 1 Diagnoses of substance use disorder, which requires 24-hour nursing care. This may include a co-occurring disorder such as bipolar disorder, major depression, psychosis, schizophrenia and co-morbid medical disorders.
Patients' needs are identified throughout their hospital stay. All patients are evaluated by a psychiatrist upon admission and seen by a psychiatrist daily. Treatment is based on Recovery Principles and the 12-Step Philosophy of Alcoholics Anonymous.
Structured programming includes:
- Alcohol and drug withdrawal management
- 12-step groups - daily AA groups
