Marcus Jackson, FACHE

Chief Operating Officer

Marcus Jackson, FACHE, was named chief operating officer of Medical City Las Colinas in June 2023.

Jackson brings extensive leadership and operational experience. He previously served as vice president of operations and co-ethics and compliance officer at Medical City Arlington. During his tenure, he held executive oversight and decision-making responsibilities for several major capital improvement projects, including the grand opening of Medical City Women’s Hospital Arlington and Medical City ER Red Oak, completing a seven-story parking garage and a 90,000-square-foot medical office building on campus.

Jackson earned a Bachelor of Arts in Ministry and Leadership at Dallas Christian College, a Master of Business Administration and Master of Health Systems Management from Texas Woman’s University and a Master of Arts in New Testament Preaching from Johnson Bible College. He also earned his Associate of Applied Science in Respiratory Care from El Centro College. Jackson is a United States Marine Corps Reserve veteran.


Joseph Berumen, DNP, RN, CCRN-K, NEA-BC

Chief Nursing Officer

Joseph Berumen joined Medical City Las Colinas as chief nursing officer in July 2022. Berumen brings more than 25 years of healthcare experience, including executive and senior leadership positions.

Berumen served previously as CNO at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center Centennial. Prior to that role, he was director of critical care at Medical City McKinney and later, the assistant chief nursing officer where he helped improve quality, employee engagement and retention.

Berumen earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in Executive Leadership and a Master of Science in Nursing Administration from Texas Tech University. He is a member of the American Organization of Nurse Executives, the American Nurses Association and the Texas Organization of Nurse Executives. He is on the Nursing Advisory Council for Western Governors University and was elected to Texas Nurses Association Leadership Succession Committee.


Tyler Cocek, CPA

Chief Financial Officer

Tyler Cocek was named chief financial officer (CFO) of Medical City Las Colinas in November 2024.

Cocek oversees all financial departments, including patient access, health information management, case management, information technology and security and supply chain.

Cocek brings more than a decade of finance and accounting experience to the role. Prior to this role, he served as assistant CFO of Medical City Dallas, Medical City Heart Hospital and Medical City Spine Hospital after being the controller for two years.

Cocek earned a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Accountancy from Loyola University New Orleans.

Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees of Medical City Las Colinas furthers the mission of the hospital by ensuring high-quality patient care in coordination with hospital leadership, advising on community needs and advocating on behalf of the hospital. Trustees represent key corporate, philanthropic and physician leaders from the Las Colinas community.
