Surgery Preparation Resources
We want you to feel as prepared as possible for your upcoming surgery. During Preadmission Testing (PAT), we take time to meet with you prior to your procedure to make sure you are prepared and to answer any questions you may have. We also offer weekly Pre-Surgery Joint Education and Bariatric Education classes to go over what to expect during procedure, best practices for recovery and more. When you come in for your preadmission appointment, please check in at the concierge desk located in the main lobby of Medical City Las Colinas hospital. You may park in front of the hospital for free.
Day Surgery
A registration representative will call you prior to surgery to preregister you for your procedure. Day Surgery is located on the first floor near the the main lobby of Medical City Las Colinas. When you first arrive at the hospital, check in at the concierge desk.
We offer outpatient infusions in Day Surgery including:
- Outpatient blood transfusions
- Intravenous (IV) therapy
If you are unable to keep your appointment, please notify the Day Surgery Center as soon as possible at (972) 969-2111. Additionally, if you develop a fever, rash, cough, cold or other illness, call your physician as soon as possible as it may be necessary to postpone your surgery.
What should you bring?
Please bring your insurance card(s), driver’s license and, if applicable, any of the following: written referral form, pre-certification number from your health plan, co-payment and a list of your current medications and allergies.
Please make arrangements for someone to drive you home and have someone stay with you for 24 hours following your surgery.
