CT coronary calcium scoring
Medical City Las Colinas offers cardiac CT scans for coronary calcium, a noninvasive way of obtaining information about the presence, location and extent of calcified plaque in the coronary arteries. Calcium is the marker of coronary artery disease (CAD), and the amount of calcium detected on a cardiac CT scan is a convenient way of evaluating whether a patient may be at an increased risk for heart attack. Talk to your doctor about the benefit of knowing your calcium score and whether you may be at increased risk for heart attack.
