Medical City Lewisville is proudly unveiling its newly renovated neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), which offers enhanced care in a serene environment for the tiniest patients.

Part of a $20.5 million investment in Medical City Lewisville’s women’s services, the newly renovated 21-bed unit includes:

• Five additional patient care rooms
• Flooring which absorbs sound and vibration to reduce stimulation to babies
• Cyclic lighting to mimic natural cycles of lighting throughout the day
• New preparation room for formula and expressed breastmilk
• Updated parent room
• A dedicated waiting area for NICU families
