Medical City Lewisville has earned Magnet with Distinction status by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) — a prestigious honor that places the hospital among an elite group of exceptionally high-performing healthcare organizations nationwide. This elevated recognition is reserved for facilities that significantly exceed the Magnet program’s rigorous key performance standards. This is the third time the hospital has been awarded Magnet designation.

Earning Magnet with Distinction represents the pinnacle of achievement in nursing professionalism, compassionate and patient-centered care. It acknowledges Medical City Lewisville’s outstanding commitment to quality, safety and continuous improvement — distinguishing the hospital as a leader in nursing practice.

Healthcare organizations must reapply for Magnet redesignation every four years. Magnet with Distinction status is awarded only to organizations that deliver exceptional outcomes in key performance areas and provide documented evidence of their nursing team’s impact on patient care quality.

“Our team’s dedication to delivering compassionate, high-quality care is what earned us this extraordinary recognition,” says Emily Sneed, Medical City Lewisville chief nursing officer. "Achieving Magnet with Distinction affirms our relentless pursuit of excellence and elevates the standard by which our patients and community expect and deserve every day. It is what continues to drive us forward.”

“Earning Magnet with Distinction reflects Medical City Lewisville’s enduring dedication to a culture of excellence, innovation and nursing empowerment,” says John Walker, CEO of Medical City Lewisville. “This is another reason so many turn to us as the destination of choice for healthcare excellence.”
