CEO Christina Mathis named Young Healthcare Executive of the Year
Irving, Texas — Medical City Las Colinas CEO Christina Mathis was named the Young Healthcare Executive of the Year by the Dallas-Fort Worth Hospital Council (DFWHC) during the 77th Annual Award Luncheon on Oct. 24.

The DFWHC Young Healthcare Executive of the Year Award honors professionals who display the impressive abilities of future North Texas leaders. Nominees must be 40 years of age or younger and employed by a DFWHC-member hospital.
Mathis was named CEO of Medical City Las Colinas in March 2025. As CEO, Mathis provides leadership, strategic direction and direct administrative responsibility for all aspects of financial operations, clinical quality and patient experience for Medical City Las Colinas. Mathis previously served as CEO of Medical City Frisco since Nov. 2023. Under her leadership, the hospital experienced significant growth in services while also achieving Level III Trauma Center and Level III Maternal facility redesignations. Medical City Frisco was named one of Healthgrades' 250 Best Hospitals in 2023 and 2024.
