Keller ISD and Medical City Alliance partner for back-to-school physicals

Assisting with back-to-school physicals for student-athletes and marching band members is just one of Medical City Alliance's ongoing partnerships with local school districts to help create healthier tomorrows for area students and their families.

Fort Worth, Texas — Medical City Alliance recently partnered with the Keller Independent School District (ISD) to help provide 230 school participation physicals at the district’s annual Back to School Bash.

Designed to prepare students and families for the upcoming school year, the Back to School Bash offers various resources and services, from school supplies and backpacks for those in need to health screenings and school physicals. All student-athletes and high school marching band students had the opportunity to sign up for a physical, which is required by the University Interscholastic League (UIL) for students participating in those activities. Clinical personnel from Medical City Alliance supported Keller ISD at the four-hour event.

“As part of Medical City Alliance’s mission to care for and improve human life, we are proud of our ongoing partnerships with Keller ISD and other local school districts to help create healthier tomorrows for students and families in the Alliance corridor,” says Medical City Alliance CEO Glenn Wallace. “We are happy for the opportunity to show up for our community and care like family.”

In addition to helping with the Back to School Bash, Medical City Alliance supports Keller ISD through numerous other programs, including academic scholarships, athletics and shadowing opportunities for Keller ISD Career and Technical Education (CTE) students interested in healthcare careers. Additionally, Keller ISD has been a longtime participant in Medical City Healthcare’s kids teaching kids® Healthy Lifestyles program, which teaches high school culinary and elementary school students healthy snacking habits through nutrition education.

Medical City Alliance is also pleased to back Keller ISD through other organizations that support the school district, such as the Keller Education Foundation and the Metroport Chamber.
