Medical City Arlington nationally ranked in top 100 for quality
Arlington, Texas — Medical City Arlington has been named one of America’s 100 Best Hospitals in 2026, according to new research released by Healthgrades, a leading resource for patients. This achievement puts Medical City Arlington in the top 2% of hospitals nationwide for overall clinical performance across the most common conditions and procedures.
Medical City Arlington has been a Healthgrades Top 250 Best Hospital for the last four consecutive years.
“This national recognition reflects the dedication and commitment we have made to the Arlington, Grand Prairie and Mansfield communities and beyond,” Medical City Arlington CEO Sharn Barbarin says. “Medical City Arlington and our nearly 2,220 colleagues are deeply committed to patient safety and quality outcomes and this recognition is another reason why so many turn to our system of care as the destination of choice for healthcare excellence.”
Medical City Arlington is a Level II Trauma Center and a Comprehensive Stroke Center that treats more than 110,000 emergencies annually. Committed to advancing medicine to create healthier tomorrows, Medical City Arlington is known for providing a variety of advanced specialty services, including women’s services, labor and delivery, a Level III neonatal ICU, and spine and cancer care. Medical City Arlington ranked by Newsweek among America’s Best Maternity Hospitals for two years in a row.
Healthgrades’ analysis found that outcomes vary widely between the nation’s highest — and lowest-performing facilities — and the gap is getting bigger. In fact, if all hospitals, as a group, performed similarly to America’s 250 Best, on average, 211,370 lives could have been saved during the 2022-2024 study period. * These findings illustrate the importance of choosing a facility with an established record of superior clinical outcomes.
“This year's America’s Best Hospitals list gives patients a clearer picture of where high-quality care is delivered most consistently,” says Alana Biggers, MD, medical advisor at Healthgrades. “Patients can feel confident in their decision to seek care at Medical City Arlington, an organization that is setting the standard for clinical excellence nationwide.”
Medical City Dallas and Medical City Plano were also named to the prestigious Healthgrades America’s 250 Best Hospitals list. This year, 44 HCA Healthcare hospitals were recognized on the list.
