Medical City Plano earns Healthgrades America's 250 Best Hospitals Award for fourth consecutive year
Medical City Plano has once again been recognized among the nation’s top-performing hospitals, earning the Healthgrades® America’s 250 Best Hospitals Award™. This distinction places Collin County’s largest hospital in the top 5% of hospitals nationwide for overall clinical excellence.
Medical City Plano has been a Healthgrades Top 250 Best Hospital for the last four consecutive years. The acute care hospital is the only Level Trauma Center and the only Burn and Reconstructive Center in the county, known for comprehensive stroke care, leading-edge cardiovascular treatment and nationally recognized neurosciences. Medical City Plano also provides award winning cancer care and a variety of advanced specialties including a Level IV Maternal Center, Level IV NICU and complex gastrointestinal surgery.

Healthgrades’ review shows a significant and widening difference in patient outcomes between the nation’s highest — and lowest-performing hospitals. Their analysis indicates that if all hospitals delivered care at the level of those recognized among America’s 250 Best, an estimated 211,370 additional lives could have been saved during the 2022–2024 study period. These results underscore how critical it is for patients to choose a hospital with a proven record of exceptional clinical performance.
