Bob Cole
Bob is walking his dogs again after experiencing shortness of breath and fainting for months, which led him to Medical City Heart Hospital for care.
Bob Cole was diagnosed with AFib, an irregular rhythm with a very fast heart rate that increases the risk of stroke, heart failure and other complications.
Since February, Bob experienced severe shortness of breath and fainting. In August, he lost consciousness at home and his wife called 911.
Bob was brought to Medical City Heart Hospital where he received an AV (atrioventricular) node ablation, a pacemaker and a defibrillator to prevent sudden cardiac arrest.
Today, Bob’s health has improved significantly, and he is back to doing what he loves, particularly evening walks with his dogs Cooper and Sarah.
"I was blown away by Medical City Heart Hospital," Bob said. "They took care of me, got me fixed up and treated me great. I was impressed with everyone who cared for me."
