Halfway through pregnancy, Tamsen Huff's health took a sudden turn. Diagnosed with an arrhythmia that causes rapid heart rate, she experienced heart failure and lost her baby.

Additional health challenges followed, including a stroke and another pregnancy loss.

But with the diligence and skill of a cardiologist at Medical City Heart Hospital and the Maternal Fetal Institute at Medical City Children's Hospital, the Huffs were finally able to have their healthy baby Lincoln.

“If it wasn’t for Medical City Heart Hospital and Medical City Dallas, I’m not sure where I would be,” Tamsen says. “Not only did they help deliver my baby, but they helped save my life. They put all of their resources together to care for me and my baby.”

Today, mom and baby Lincoln are both happy and healthy.

“Things are going great,” she says. “Lincoln is growing like crazy, and I’m doing well. My heart’s doing well. Because of the care they gave me, I’m able to be a mom – and that means everything to me.”
